The airport is located between the 2 roads, the A79 (turn left onto N338) and the N332 (turn right onto N338) 11 kilometres(7 miles) south west of the town of Alicante.  Just to the south east of the airport is the village of El Altet which was the name, El Altet Airport, previously used for the airport

• There is only 1 bus stop at Alicante-Elche Airport situated at Departures roadway Level 2.This stop serves both Arrivals & Departures.
• There is a lift connecting to Level 1 Arrivals.

Bus to Alicante

The Alicante Aerobus route C6 runs 24 hours per day on 365 days a year between the airport and strategic locations in Alicante city. It stops at the main bus terminal near the port, the railway station, and at two stops close to the city tram. The travel time from the airport to the city is around 20 minutes. During the day, there is a bus every 20 minutes, at night-time, the C6 buses run hourly.is the C! Route

 There is a short term Car Park opposite the terminal building and a long term car park next to the terminal. Parking at the Airport is Expensive. Cheaper long term parking is available near to the Airport.

Transport Alicante Town

There is additional transport from Alicante to The Costa Blanca coastal and inland towns and cities from Alicante Town via either

• Alsa Buses The majority of towns are covered by the bus network
• FGV Tram. Mainly coastal resorts and villages near the coast north of Alicante
• RENFE National train network.
  • Connects to Madrid, Valencia, Elche, Orihuela, Murcia, Aqilas, Albacete
  • Useless for the coastal Costa Blanca resorts north of Alicante - use FGV Tram or Bus

• The Ferrocarril de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) the Alicante - Benidorm - Denia Tram in was a private small gauge train diesel railway.
• This was converted to an Electric Tram Service.
• Within Alicante there is a network of lines with some stations underground

RENFE - National  Rail Services

• RENFE, the national rail network runs to the West and South from Alicante. The Northern line runs inland (West) before turning North joining the coast North of Denia thus by-passing most of the Costa Blanca and Benidorm. The RENFE station (Estacion FC de Madrid) is in the centre of Alicante

the Autovia Alicante-Murcia A-7and leave at the airport junction

the national road 332 then N-338 to the airport.

From Benidorm, drivers should take the Autovia A-7.
