Entrance to the Bell Tower is the very small doorway to the left of the Magnificent Main Entrance to the Basílica. Located in Plaza de Santa Maria
Entrance to the Bell Tower & Ticket Office Ground Floor
- After entering the external door you will find the ticket office on the right & and on the left the circuler staircase to the upper levels with a rope handrail.
- There are 170 steps to the roof, every 10th step is numbered. Luckily there are seats on some floors if you get out of breath during the climb.
- The Tower is forty meters high with magnificent views from the roof making the effort worth while.

- There names are Ave María, Bárbara, Dijuny & María de la Asunción.

- The absolute best views over Elche are from the roof of Santa María Basílica Bell Tower.
- The tower roof is used for the final of the gigantic firework display, la Nit de l’Albà, with an unbelievable massive display that forms the shape of a palm& is called 'the palm of the Virgin'
