The MARQ Museum is a traditional museum with items being classified and indexed, but displays it's artefacts in a modern artistic manner and also uses audio / visual displays.
There is a small entrance fee with concession prices for students, Senior citizens etc.

Alicante City Museum (MUSA)
The Alicante City Museum (MUSA), located in Santa Barbara Castle , immerses you in the history of the city through its five rooms.
The Engineers Corps Building , also the Visitor Information Center, houses archaeological remains and an audiovisual presentation on the history of Alicante.
The Old Hospital displays the exhibition "Alicante, Transcended by the Mediterranean ," while in the Long Room (Sala Larga) is the exhibition "Stories and People" allows visitors to see the old medieval gate of the fortress.
The English Caves feature "The Mine Explosion" during the War of Succession, the British who had occupied the castle for almost 3 years had to surrender, and were allowed to leave the city ad sail away.
The old dungeons under the Plaza de Armas, have a difficult access and are accessible only with a guide appointed by the castle., add a touch of mystery to the experience., which is a unique tour that connects the city's past with its present in an incomparable historical setting.
